LHWHSPA Community Contributions in 2022-23

LHWHSPA programs and events benefit all students and staff at the high school. Thank you for supporting your parent association with your time, talent and funds.

 

Student Support:

  • Raised $34k for LHWHS senior scholarships through the Parents for Scholars auction
  • Contributed to purchase of a new basketball shooting system
  • Purchased new chess boards and clocks for Chess Team
  • Contributed to transportation costs for Science Olympiad team to attend their national tournament
  • Contributed to Library Bill of Rights art graphic
  • Provided funds for the Art Department for guest speakers
  • Hosted Freshman Orientation BBQ
  • Hosted Post Prom and After Grad celebrations
  • Purchased a new microwave for the student cafeteria
  • Provided snacks and period supplies that the nurses distribute as needed

Teacher/Staff Support:

  • Provided dinner for teachers during parent teacher conferences
  • Hosted staff breakfasts and teacher luncheon
  • Provided gift cards to bus drivers, custodians, librarians, nurses and principals to show appreciation for their efforts

Family Support:

  • Created and distributed weekly newsletter to keep parents up to date on LHWHS happenings
  • Supported needs and wishes for district families through the Holiday Happiness gift drive
  • Hosted Welcome Back Coffee for parents at the beginning of school year
  • Maintained and distributed Rambell online and printed directory
  • Hosted Blue and White Night and the District-wide Chili Supper event (with the Dads Club)
