Mark Your Calendar: Back to School Events 

Fall Athletics Parent Meeting: parents and guardians of all athletes participating in a fall sport should plan to attend the parent meeting on Tuesday, August 15 at 6:30 pm.

 

Freshmen Orientation: The LHWHS LinkCrew students and teachers will welcome the Class of 2027 to LHWHS on Wednesday, August 16 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Students should arrive at 7:45 a.m. in the cafeteria to begin the day. This is a fun day for the students to familiarize themselves with the building, meet some upperclassmen, and learn more about the start of high school.

 

Freshmen Barbecue & Open House: Families are invited to join us on the evening of orientation (Wednesday, August 16) for a “Freshman BBQ” meet and greet hosted by the Parent Association and Dad’s Club. We encourage families to tour the building and “walk” your student’s schedule while enjoying burgers and hot dogs! This informal event will be held from 5-7 p.m.and families are able to come and go as they please.

 

New to Ladue and Meet the Teacher Night: Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, August 31 gives parents a chance to walk their students schedules and meet their students teachers. Meet the Teacher starts at 7 p.m. but leave time for parking and getting to your students first classroom.

Before the traditional Meet the Teacher Night, families who are new to LHWHS are welcome to attend a meeting in the Performing Arts Center at 6 p.m. where High School administration and counseling teams will discuss the programs, procedures, and resources that are available at Ladue. Attendance is optional but recommended for freshman families and families who are new to Ladue Schools.

 

School Picture Day for Underclassmen: 9th, 10th and 11th graders will have their pictures taken for the yearbook and their Student ID cards on Wednesday, August 30. Students will be photographed during their English classes; those who do not have an English class should get their photo taken during lunch.

 

Parent Welcome Coffee: Save the date for September 11, when the LHWHSPA will host parents and guardians for a coffee with Principal Brad Griffith and Superintendent Jim Wipke to hear about the upcoming year.
